    Teaching the "WHY" in Player Development

     We encourage our athletes to think about the "what" (skills), but more importantly, the "why", which is how these skills apply to game situations and how they can be leveraged for success! 

    Development Backed by Research

    We utilize research to identify game-like situations and patterns we see at the highest level. This approach greatly enhances our development by ensuring our drills and progressions closely simulate real-game scenarios. 

    Professional Instructors

    The Shyft Team has over thirty years of combined professional hockey playing experience, as well as fifteen years in the player development industry. We've had the privilege of working with hundreds of athletes from minor hockey to the NHL. Most notably, the Edmonton Oilers in a player development capacity for the last two years.  

    Fun Learning Experience

    Above all else, the primary reason we're so passionate about our work in player development is the opportunity to provide a fun and informative experience for every athlete. 

    The communication between myself and the staff is really what helped me take a step in my game. Both Matt and Kane are very accommodating and will mold the skates to what the player needs and will actually see in a game.
